Insurance & Doula Coverage

Doula support may be covered by your health insurance.

At Two Hearts Doula Care, we believe families should be able to access meaningful support without finances becoming another source of stress. Depending on your insurance plan, some or all of your prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula services may be covered.

Insurance We May Be Able to Work With

Coverage depends on your individual plan, location, eligibility, and our current provider contracts. Plans we may be able to work with include:

• Medi-Cal

• Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans

• Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal

• Other California Medi-Cal health plans, depending on county and network participation

• Certain private or employer-sponsored insurance plans that offer doula reimbursement or out-of-network benefits

Medi-Cal currently includes doula services as a covered benefit for eligible members, including prenatal and postpartum visits as well as support during labor and delivery.
